SIMA Funds is seeking a highly motivated Risk Analyst to support the firm’s growing
portfolio of impact investments across emerging markets. This role will work closely with
the investment, risk, and operations teams to strengthen internal controls, support
disciplined credit and audit processes, and enhance risk monitoring across funds
focused on renewable energy, financial inclusion, and climate-aligned sectors. The
position offers hands-on exposure to impact investing, project and SME finance, and
institutional-grade risk management practices within a mission-driven global investment
platform.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Work closely with the team on internal audit.
- Support in the preparation of audit documentation.
- Conducting review of pre-disbursement and post-disbursement documents.
- Support periodic reviews of internal processes to improve efficiency,
documentation, and risk controls. - Support ongoing credit monitoring, including tracking compliance with financial
and non-financial covenants. - Assist in periodic reviews of portfolio companies’ financial performance, liquidity,
- leverage, and covenant compliance.
- Flag emerging credit risks and data inconsistencies for escalation to senior team
members. - Conduct periodic reviews of risk management processes and help prepare
summary materials for senior management.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend regular risk meetings. Communicate investment risk issues, recommend,
and follow-up on improvement measures concerning risk management. - Inform the management team of any pending or current issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 0-3 years of audit /credit admin risk experience in corporate, SME, and
renewable energy project finance in emerging markets or related experience,
preferably in an asset management or banking environment. - Degree in Business e.g., MBA and/or CA/ ACCA with a specialization in Finance
and/or Risk or allied subjects. - CFA, FRM or any other related certification will be advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of market instruments and investment risk.
Well-versed in MS Office and computer skills, enabling efficient performance of the
above tasks.
