We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced finance professional to join our team as an AVP/VP in Finance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and contribute to our growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in financial controlling, accounting, and reporting functions for SIMA, its subsidiaries and Funds under management.
- Supervise bookkeeping, monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings.
- Prepare adequate, timely and accurate management reports on a quarterly basis including dashboards for senior management to make decisions.
- Prepare and present financials in the Board meetings and provide logistics / working papers.
- Coordinate with fund administrator, banks, and manage day-to-day finance operations including coordination with investors and borrowers as and when required.
- Coordination with tax advisors for timely filing of quarterly Funds’ VAT returns, annual Corporate Income Tax Return (CITR) for Funds and for SIMA and its subsidiary based in Pakistan.
- Manage monthly reporting to investors, regulators, grant providers and stakeholders and its timely submission as per the deadlines.
- Manage end-to-end audit process for SIMA, its subsidiaries and funds under management.
- Prepare comprehensive annual budget, forecasts and projections for SIMA and its subsidiaries including presentation to senior management and board members for approval.
- Conduct variance analysis on every quarter and identify red flags.
- Monitor cashflow trend and always ensure liquidity management for operational needs.
- Assist in providing support to advisory function as and when required.
- Assist in developing business plan and strategy for our Fractional CFO business segment.
- Identifying potential clients for our Fractional CFO business. Understand client needs, communicate and assist in developing customized CFO service solutions, and work collaboratively with the team to deliver.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards (IFRS, US-GAAP).
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, including investors and regulatory bodies.
- Assist in the development of internal software and for automation of processes.
- Coordinate with IT team as and when required.
Qualifications
- Qualified ACCA/CA with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong background in financial controlling, accounting, reporting, financial planning, budgeting and analysis.
- Experience in the impact investing sector is highly desirable. Must have work experience with financial services/banking sector.
- Can handle work pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to manage financial operations and coordinate with external service providers.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
